Hop Spider | Kegland Stainless Steel Filter | 14" L x 6" W
KegLand Stainless Steel Hop Spider for Cleaner Boils
This KegLand stainless steel hop spider keeps pellet and whole-cone hops contained during the boil so you can reduce kettle debris, protect pumps and plate chillers, and make wort transfer cleaner after flameout.
The tall 14" x 6" basket gives hops room to circulate while keeping most vegetal material inside the filter. It is especially useful for hoppy ales, whirlpool-heavy recipes, brew-in-a-bag systems, and any kettle setup where loose hop matter can clog valves, pickup tubes, or chilling equipment.
Best Uses
- Containing hop additions during the boil or whirlpool
- Reducing trub load before transfer to the fermenter
- Protecting pumps, valves, and wort chillers from hop debris
- Making kettle cleanup faster after heavily hopped batches
After use, empty the hop material and rinse the stainless mesh promptly so it is ready for the next brew day.
Selection and Setup Notes
Hang or position the hop spider so wort can move freely through the mesh. Do not pack it so tightly that hop utilization or flow suffers, and rinse it promptly after the boil.
