Weyermann® Bohemian Pilsner Malt for Classic Continental Lager Brewing
Weyermann® Bohemian Pilsner Malt is designed for brewers who want a pale, elegant base malt with a classic continental lager feel. It offers a delicate malt sweetness and subtle grain character that support hops and lager yeast without turning the beer heavy or overly rich.
This makes it especially useful in Czech-style pilsner, continental pale lager, Märzen, and other European-style beers where clean structure and drinkability matter just as much as malt quality. It gives brewers a dependable starting point when the goal is a more traditional lager profile rather than a broader modern pale-malt character.
What It Adds to the Beer
- Flavor: Mild malt sweetness with soft grain notes
- Color: Pale straw to light gold, ideal for classic continental styles
- Role: A refined base that helps noble hops and fermentation show clearly
Where It Fits Best
Bohemian Pilsner Malt works especially well in Czech-style pilsner, continental lagers, and other recipes where brewers want a more traditional European feel. It is also useful when a grain bill needs to stay light and precise rather than broad and highly malty.
If you are building a lager recipe around delicacy, drinkability, and classic malt structure, Weyermann® Bohemian Pilsner Malt is a strong base to start from.
