McKenzie™ Hops : Oregon-Grown Fruit and Resin Harmony
Bright Citrus Meets Piney Depth in This Unique Pacific Northwest Hop
McKenzie™ is the first commercial hop variety released by the West Coast Hop Breeding Company, and it’s proudly grown in Oregon to showcase the unique character of the region’s terroir. Bursting with grapefruit, lemon, nectarine, and melon, this variety is backed by complex undertones of pine resin, woody herbs, and thyme. McKenzie™ is a versatile hop that can shine in West Coast IPAs, American Pale Ales, and Hazy IPAs alike—delivering bright aromatics without losing that classic hop bite.
The oil profile is expressive and layered, making McKenzie™ an excellent choice for late kettle additions, whirlpooling, or dry hopping. Whether used solo or layered with complementary American or Southern Hemisphere hops, McKenzie™ brings a dynamic, distinctly Northwest profile that bridges fruit-forward intensity with structured bitterness and resin.
