Dingemans Mroost Wheat Malt 30 MD – Elevate Your Brew with Nutty, Toasted Complexity

Enhance Your Brews with Rich Hazelnut & Toasted Almond Notes

Dingemans Mroost Wheat Malt 30 MD is a specialty roasted wheat malt that imparts deep nutty flavors and a full-bodied mouthfeel to your beers. Crafted with precision by Belgium's renowned Dingemans malting company, this malt is the perfect choice for brewers seeking to add complexity and a smooth, rounded finish. Available by the ounce or in full 55 lb bags, it's an excellent addition to a wide range of beer styles.

Nutty, Toasted Flavor and Fuller Body

Mroost Wheat Malt 30 MD undergoes a specialized roasting process in a rotating drum, developing its signature warm color and rich flavors before being rapidly cooled. This unique method preserves the wheat's natural character while enhancing it with hazelnut and toasted almond notes. Its contribution to the beer’s body results in a smooth, well-rounded mouthfeel. However, due to its lack of enzymatic activity, this malt should be paired with high-diastatic power malts for efficient conversion.

Perfect for a Variety of Beer Styles

The versatility of Dingemans Mroost Wheat Malt 30 MD makes it ideal for numerous beer styles, including:

  • Abbey Beers
  • Stouts & Porters
  • Speciale Belge
  • Barleywines
  • Fruit Beers
  • Dark Ales & Belgian Browns
  • Belgian Quadrupels

Adding up to 20% of this malt to your grain bill enhances both complexity and depth, making it a go-to ingredient for brewers looking to craft distinct, flavorful beers.

Why Choose Dingemans Mroost Wheat Malt 30 MD?

  • Rich, Nutty Flavor – Adds deep hazelnut and toasted almond complexity.
  • Enhanced Body – Contributes to a fuller mouthfeel and smooth texture.
  • Versatile Usage – Works well across a range of beer styles.
  • Top-Quality Malt – Crafted by Belgium’s trusted Dingemans maltsters.

Take your brewing to the next level with Dingemans Mroost Wheat Malt 30 MD—whether you're perfecting a Belgian classic or experimenting with a rich, malty stout, this specialty malt adds the complexity and depth your beer deserves.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer grain milling services?

Yes, we provide grain milling services free of charge before shipping. To have your grain milled, please select the "Yes, please mill my grain" option on each grain product before adding it to your cart. We use a high-end, 3-roller mill from Spike, set to a standard gap of 4.5, which achieves optimal cracking while minimizing excessive flour. If you prefer a coarser or finer mill, leave a note in the shopping cart, and we’ll adjust it to your preference.

If we notice that most grains were selected for milling but a few were not, we will assume it was an oversight and mill all of them. If your intention is different, please clarify in the shopping cart notes section.

How do you ensure accuracy when weighing grains?

We take great care to ensure that you receive the correct grains in the exact quantities needed for your recipe. Our multi-step process ensures precision, starting with weighing each grain type individually to an accuracy of 0.08 ounces. After that, we perform a final check by weighing the combined total to confirm accuracy. Your total grain weight will always be slightly over the ordered amount, never under, and always within an acceptable range for even the most detail-oriented brewers (like ourselves).

How are grains packaged before shipment?

We provide a convenient recipe-building tool to streamline the process for you, our team, and the environment. We encourage you to use this tool to build your recipes, ensuring you get exactly what you’ve ordered in the correct quantities. By combining all the grains for a single recipe into one bag, we help speed up your brew day, reduce packaging waste, and save time during order fulfillment. Rest assured, we prioritize accuracy when measuring and packing your grains.
