Celeste Hops, Formerly WCHB-102 / Exp 2B

Celeste is the named release of the West Coast Hop Breeding variety previously sold as WCHB-102 or Experimental 2B. It is a U.S.-grown aroma hop with a clean, bright fruit profile that fits modern pale ales, IPAs, hoppy lagers, and other beers where expressive aroma matters.

Expect a mix of passion fruit, honeydew, sweet citrus, orchard fruit, and pine. Earlier WCHB-102 lots were often described with lime zest, lemon, melon, apple, pear, and pine resin, so this listing keeps the former experimental name in place for brewers matching recipes or prior purchases.

Flavor and Brewing Character

Celeste works well in whirlpool and dry hop additions where its fruit and pine character can show clearly. It can also be used in late-boil additions when you want citrus and melon notes without turning the beer harsh or heavy.

Use it in hazy IPA, West Coast IPA, pale ale, hoppy pilsner, session IPA, and other hop-forward styles. It can stand alone in a single-hop batch or blend with citrus, tropical, resinous, or New World lager hops.
