Use it when yeast are likely to be under more stress than usual: high-gravity beer, high-adjunct wort, yeast propagation, repeat pitching, or batches where consistent attenuation matters.

Use rate and timing

• Homebrew dosage: 1/2 tsp, about 2.2 g, per 5 gallons of wort.
• When to add: dissolve in warm water and add to the kettle 10-15 minutes before the end of the boil.
