Fermaid O is a highly effective organic yeast nutrient derived from inactivated yeast cells, providing amino acids, peptides, nucleotides, vitamins, and minerals essential for a clean, healthy fermentation. Free from diammonium phosphate (DAP), Fermaid O is ideal for fermentation environments where organic nitrogen sources are preferred - especially in mead, wine, cider, and natural beer styles.

Favored by mead makers using staggered nutrient addition (SNA) protocols, Fermaid O supports complete fermentation, minimizes the risk of hydrogen sulfide production, and helps preserve delicate flavor profiles.

Suggested Usage:

  • Mead & Wine: 1.25 - 2.5 g per gallon, added in 2 - 3 doses
  • Cider: 1 g per gallon, typically added at the 1/3 sugar break
  • Beer (organic or mixed fermentations): 0.5 - 1 g per gallon
