Wine Bottles
Wine Bottles for Winemaking, Mead, Cider, and Specialty Beverages
Wine bottles protect finished wine, mead, cider, and specialty fermentations during storage, aging, gifting, and serving. This collection includes classic bottle shapes, glass colors, and format options for still wine, sparkling styles, fruit wine, mead, and competition entries.
Choose the bottle style around the beverage and closure. Bordeaux-style bottles are common for many still wines and meads. Burgundy-style bottles are traditional for certain wine styles and give a broader shoulder profile. Champagne-style bottles are built for higher pressure applications when the beverage and closure system require it.
What to Consider Before Bottling
- Glass color: darker glass helps protect light-sensitive beverages during storage.
- Closure type: make sure the bottle matches your cork, crown cap, cork-and-cage, or other closure plan.
- Format size: smaller bottles are useful for samples, gifts, and competitions; standard 750 mL bottles are practical for most wine and mead packaging.
- Pressure: do not use ordinary still-wine bottles for sparkling beverages unless the bottle is designed for pressure.
