Spike Conical Fermenters | CF5, CF10, CF15 & CF30
Spike Conical Fermenters for Home and Pilot Brewing
Spike Conical Fermenters are stainless steel conical fermenters for brewers who want easier yeast dumping, cleaner transfers, and a more modular fermentation setup than a bucket or carboy. This product page covers the Spike CF line sizes we list: CF5, CF10, CF15, and CF30.
Spike's current conical line uses 304 stainless steel, sanitary welded ports, a removable lid, Tri-Clamp fittings, a bottom dump, a racking port, a sample valve, and etched volume markings. Spike also lists the CF line with 15 psi working pressure when used with the proper pressure relief valve, which makes it suitable for pressure transfers and brite-tank-style workflows.
Why brewers use a conical fermenter
- Yeast and trub management: the bottom dump helps remove settled yeast and sediment without moving the fermenter.
- Cleaner transfers: the racking port and rotating racking arm help pull beer from above settled solids.
- Modular process control: Tri-Clamp ports support accessories for blowoff, dry hopping, temperature control, sampling, and pressure transfer.
Choosing a Spike CF size
Choose the fermenter size around the finished batch volume, headspace needs, and whether you plan to harvest yeast, dry hop heavily, or pressure transfer. CF5 is aimed at typical homebrew batch sizes, while the larger CF models make sense for bigger batches, split-batch programs, pilot brewing, or brewers who want more headspace.
Pair the fermenter with the right gaskets, clamps, valves, temperature-control hardware, and pressure-rated accessories for your process. For more options, browse conical fermenters, fermenters and accessories, or brewing equipment.
