36-Hour Yeast Shipping Protection for Liquid Yeast Orders

This is our stronger liquid-yeast protection option for customers who want a more robust thermal buffer in transit. It uses a metallic insulated mailer with a 16 oz cold pack and is the better fit for many two-day shipments, hotter routes, and situations where standard lightweight protection may not be enough.

We maintain our yeast refrigerators at proper storage temperatures and monitor them 24 hours a day before shipment. Once a package leaves our shop, however, carrier delays, hot sorting hubs, weekend holds, missed scans, and longer-than-predicted transit are outside our control. That is why we encourage customers to actively protect their yeast investment with both faster shipping and the right packaging level.

What this option includes

  • One metallic insulated mailer designed for stronger temperature protection
  • One 16 oz cold pack included in the base price
  • Optional extra 16 oz cold packs for higher-risk routes or hotter weather

Best use case

  • Best for 36-hour protection expectations
  • Recommended for many 2-day shipping situations
  • A better choice when temperatures are high or delivery timing is less certain

What it does and does not do

This option improves thermal protection, but it is still not a guarantee against every shipping problem. We cannot control what carriers do after pickup, and we cannot promise liquid yeast performance after extended or mishandled transit. If your order sits too long in warm conditions, that risk belongs to the shipping method and protection choices made for the order.

How to choose extra ice packs

Your base purchase includes one 16 oz cold pack. You can add more if you want additional thermal mass for long routes, warm weather, or a larger yeast order. Customers are responsible for choosing the protection level that matches their climate, route length, and comfort level. If you are trying to protect a meaningful liquid yeast order, choosing stronger packaging up front is usually the better move.

Important shipping guidance

  • Place liquid yeast orders Sunday through Wednesday when possible
  • Try to avoid routes that may push delivery into a weekend hold
  • Flat-rate ground shipping is economical, but it has no guarantee on timing and can run long
  • Dry yeast is far less vulnerable to transit conditions than liquid yeast

If your shipment is truly short and low-risk, our 24-Hour Yeast Shipping Protection option may be enough. For the full policy and practical guidance, visit our Yeast Shipping Best Practices page.
