Hop Sesh IPA Extract Recipe Kit for a Bright, Sessionable IPA
Hop Sesh IPA is built for brewers who want real IPA hop character without the weight of a high-alcohol double IPA. This 5 gallon extract recipe kit keeps the beer crisp, citrus-forward, and drinkable at an estimated 5.4% ABV, while still carrying enough bitterness and hop presence to satisfy an IPA craving.
Warrior, Simcoe®, and Centennial give the beer a classic American hop profile with citrus, pine, resin, and clean bitterness. Crystal 15, white wheat, and acidulated malt help support color, body, and balance, while dextrose helps keep the finish from becoming too heavy. CellarScience CALI yeast keeps the fermentation profile clean so the hops stay in front.

Flavor and Brewing Character
Expect a lighter-bodied IPA with a clean malt base, bright citrus, and enough piney hop depth to keep it from tasting thin. Hop Sesh is a good choice when you want an IPA that still feels expressive and bitter, but finishes more drinkable than a full-strength or imperial version.

Fermentation Requirements
- Fermenter: Use a clean, sanitized fermenter with enough headspace for a healthy 5 gallon fermentation.
- Temperature control: Keep fermentation steady in the yeast’s recommended ale range for a clean IPA profile.
- Gravity check: Confirm fermentation is complete with stable gravity readings before bottling or kegging.
- Oxygen control: Package carefully and avoid splashing so the hop aroma stays fresh.
Brewing Notes
- Read the included Brewmaster instructions before brew day. Organize the hop additions and extract additions before heating the kettle.
- Add extract off heat. Stir malt extract in thoroughly before returning the kettle to heat to reduce scorching risk.
- Keep it clean and fresh. A session IPA depends on clean fermentation and fresh hop character more than heavy malt sweetness.
