FerMonster 3 Gallon Carboy | PET Plastic Fermenter
FerMonster 3 Gallon PET Carboy Fermenter
The FerMonster 3 Gallon Carboy is a lightweight PET plastic fermenter for small-batch beer, cider, mead, wine, hard seltzer, kombucha, and sake projects. The 3 gallon size is especially useful for pilot batches, smaller recipes, test ferments, and batches where you want more headspace than a one-gallon jug can provide.
FerMonster carboys give you glass-like visibility without the weight and breakage risk of glass. The clear PET body makes it easy to watch fermentation activity, while the wide-mouth threaded opening makes cleaning, filling, dry hopping, fruit additions, and inspection much easier than with a narrow-neck glass carboy.
Why choose the 3 gallon FerMonster?
- Small-batch friendly: a practical size for experimental beer batches, cider, mead, wine, and other fermentations.
- Lightweight PET construction: easier to lift, move, and clean than traditional glass carboys.
- Clear fermentation view: monitor krausen, clarification, fruit additions, and yeast activity without opening the fermenter.
- Wide-mouth access: easier cleaning and ingredient additions compared with narrow-neck fermenters.
- Threaded lid design: pairs with compatible FerMonster lids, O-rings, stoppers, and fermentation accessories.
Best uses
- 2 to 2.5 gallon beer batches with fermentation headspace
- Small-batch cider, mead, wine, hard seltzer, kombucha, and sake experiments
- Splitting a larger batch for yeast, hop, fruit, oak, or spice trials
- Secondary aging or conditioning when a lightweight PET vessel is preferred
Helpful accessories
Pair this fermenter with a compatible #10 drilled stopper and airlock for active fermentation. If you use FerMonster fermenters regularly, keeping a spare FerMonster replacement lid O-ring on hand is a smart backup. For safer lifting, use the FerMonster and carboy carrier.
Note: This is the standard 3 gallon FerMonster carboy without a built-in spigot. If you want easier sampling or gravity transfers, choose the 3 gallon FerMonster with spigot version instead.
