This 5 gallon version uses Briess malt extracts for the fermentable base, a small 2-row-supported partial mash for oats and dark specialty grains, clean American ale yeast, and a measured whole-bean coffee and vanilla adjunct pack.

Why Brewers Choose This Kit
This is the premium winter stout slot for extract brewers who want something bigger and more layered than a standard porter, dry stout, or basic imperial stout kit.
Brewing Notes
- Partial mash the included 2-row, flaked oats, and specialty grains around 150–155°F before adding malt extract.
- Remove the kettle from direct heat before stirring in liquid and dry malt extract to prevent scorching.
- High-gravity fermentation needs healthy yeast, good aeration, and patience.
- After primary fermentation, gently crack the whole-bean coffee and add it in a sanitized bag for 24–48 hours.
- Split the 3 vanilla beans lengthwise with a sanitized knife, add the pods and seeds during conditioning, and taste every 1–2 days until the vanilla is balanced.
