Liquid yeast note: refrigerate promptly after delivery. In warm weather, insulated shipping protection or faster shipping is recommended.

Golden Rule Belgian Golden Strong Ale
Belgian Golden Strong Ale is famous for looking bright and inviting while carrying far more strength than its pale color suggests. The style grew from Belgian strong pale ales built with pale malt, simple sugar, expressive yeast, firm-but-clean bitterness, and lively carbonation. The best examples are not heavy; they are dry, aromatic, peppery, fruity, and dangerously smooth.
Golden Rule takes its name from the rule that makes this beer work: keep the recipe elegant and let fermentation discipline do the hard work. This kit is designed for a deep-gold Belgian strong ale with pear, light citrus, peppery spice, subtle honeyed malt, noble hop balance, and a crisp finish that keeps the beer from drinking sweet or syrupy.
This extract version keeps the brew day shorter while preserving the style’s pale, dry profile with Pilsen Light DME, a small specialty-grain steep, and clear candi sugar.
Companion version: This is the extract with grains version. If you prefer the other brew-day format, see the Golden Rule Belgian Golden Strong Ale all-grain recipe kit.

Grain Milling

What to Expect
Expect a pale golden beer with a rocky white head, bright Belgian yeast aromatics, gentle noble-hop spice, and a dry finish. The ABV is high, but the beer should feel graceful rather than thick. Good yeast health, oxygenation, and temperature control are what make the kit shine.
Fermentation Requirements
Use a healthy pack of 2 sachets Fermentis SafAle BE-256 Belgian Strong Ale Dry Yeast, oxygenate well, and pitch around 64–66°F. Hold the first 24–48 hours controlled, then allow the beer to rise gradually into the low 70s°F so it can finish dry. Confirm stable gravity before packaging.
