Secure high-carbonation bottles with a proper twist-tight cage

These wire cages—also known as muselets or wire hoods—lock down mushroom-style corks on Champagne, Belgian ales, sparkling cider, and any bottle-conditioned beverage with elevated CO2. Installed over a partially inserted cork and tightened around the bottle lip, the cage prevents cork creep and pop during conditioning, storage, and service.

Note: “wire hood” here refers to the wire cage, not the decorative foil hood/capsule which are sol seperately here.

How to Use

1. Cork first: Insert the cork partially, then seat it to the proper height.
2. Place the cage: Set the cage over the cork and bend the legs around the bottle lip.
3. Tighten: Twist the loop to tension the cage (common practice is ~6 half-turns). Fold the loop down to finish.
4. Condition safely: Store bottles upright during carbonation; chill before opening.
