Chinook drives the boil profile, while Amarillo, Simcoe, Centennial, and CTZ build citrus, pine, resin, grapefruit, and dank hop aroma.

Brewing Notes

  • Add extract off heat: This prevents scorching.
  • Use the 90 minute boil: The source recipe is built around this boil length.
  • Dry hop after fermentation slows: Add 2 oz CTZ, 1.5 oz Amarillo, and 1.5 oz Simcoe for 6 days.
  • Limit oxygen: IPA aroma fades quickly with rough transfers or splashing.
