Temperature & Pressure Guidelines
The FermZilla Gen 3.2 (55L) is safe for wort transfers and cleaning with liquids up to 131°F when not pressurized. Under pressure, maintain a temperature below 95°F to avoid damaging the tank. These guidelines are particularly crucial when fermenting with high-temperature yeasts, such as kveik, which ferment at higher temperatures. We recommend replacing your tank every two years to maintain optimal performance and safety.
Care & Maintenance Instructions
- Inspect your FermZilla every 6-12 months for signs of wear or stress, especially when used under pressure.
- Hydro test your tank every two years by filling it with water and pressurizing to 4 BAR (58 psi) using a Green PRV. Replace the Red PRV after testing.
Important: Avoid soaking the tank in cleaning agents like PBW or StarSan for more than one hour, as prolonged exposure can degrade the PET material and shorten the lifespan of the tank.
