High-Ester Mead Yeast for Floral, Complex Fermentations
Mangrove Jack’s M05 Mead Yeast is a high-performing, top-fermenting strain specifically developed for crafting meads with fresh, floral esters and a clean, dry finish. This yeast is ideal for all styles of mead, from traditional to melomels and metheglins, delivering a refined complexity that enhances the natural characteristics of honey.
With a high alcohol tolerance of up to 18% ABV and a wide fermentation temperature range of 59–86°F (15–30°C), M05 offers flexibility and reliability in various fermentation conditions. Its high attenuation (95–100%) ensures a thorough fermentation, resulting in a mead that is both flavorful and well-balanced. The yeast's high flocculation contributes to excellent clarity, reducing the need for additional fining agents.
Whether you're a seasoned mead maker or a homebrewer exploring the world of mead, M05 provides the robustness and versatility needed for consistent, high-quality results. Its ability to produce a delicate balance of floral aromas and a clean palate makes it a preferred choice for mead enthusiasts.
