This yeast is 40% off because it’s within at least one month of its best by date. We never ship expired yeast, but it may arrive near or just past that date. In our own lab tests, we've seen up to 85% viability beyond the best by date—much better than most calculators predict. It's a smart way to save without compromising your brew.

Traditional Czech Lager Yeast for Crisp, Clean Fermentations

Mangrove Jack’s M84 Bohemian Lager Yeast is a bottom-fermenting strain renowned for producing soft, delicate, and well-balanced lagers with a dry and clean palate. This yeast is ideal for crafting authentic European lager and pilsner styles, delivering a crisp finish and subtle malt character that defines traditional Czech brewing.

With high attenuation and high flocculation, M84 ensures a thorough fermentation process, resulting in beers with excellent clarity and a refined flavor profile. Its performance at lower fermentation temperatures minimizes the production of esters and diacetyl, allowing the malt and hop characteristics to shine through.
